Organic Skin Care: Women Can't Get Enough
Today more and more people are opting to use organically-based cleaning agents and eating organically-grown food. Women are also following suit with this by using organically-based makeup and skin care products to nourish their skin.
Organic actually means food that was grown through a process free of fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, synthetic pesticides, or other toxic mixtures. You'll discover that the skin products that are organic are manufactured from herbs, flower buds, and fruits. You should avoid synthetically produced makeup and skin care products, especially when you have natural alternatives that can provide equal results. Our skin goes through enough being exposed to the toxic fumes of our environment on a daily basis. Your skin should not have to be drenched in chemicals or other harmful toxins as well.
You need to remember that government rules permit many types of ingredients to be placed in products made for skin, nails, hair, and in the water we use too. Go to the library or get on the Internet and research some healthy alternatives. You'll be amazed what you learn.
The FDA, better known in the United States as the Food & Drug Administration is the agency that establishes the standards and regulations regarding the manufacture of food and drugs. The main problem is that this agency does not pay that much attention to make-up and skin care products as they should. Regulation in countries outside the US sadly follows a very similar pattern. Therefore, some very harmful chemicals seem to be slipping into these products around the world.
Some of these harmful chemicals that are frequently used in the composition of most common make-up and skin care items include the following: Mercury, Nitrosamines, Dioxane, DEA, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Cyclomethicone, Isopropyl Alcohol, Polyethylene eth- and Polethyelene Glycol.
Many of these chemicals absorb quite easily into the skin. But the body has no easy method of cleansing itself of all these harmful chemicals. These toxic chemicals build up in your intestines and seep into the rest of your body and can end up causing problems for your internal organs.
The only way you can really protect your whole body against harm from all these toxic things is to read the labels completely. Many people do this with the food they buy so why not skin care products? Check out what natural organic skin care products and makeup are available for you. When you start using all natural and leaving off the chemicals you will see how much better your skin will look and feel. It will be revitalized.
Surfactants, Humectants, emulsifiers, and emollients along with preservatives can be included in the organically-based makeup and skin care products.
Make sure that you are able to distinguish the difference between synthetic ingredients and the all natural ingredients. This does not have to be an enormous undertaking. If you have a computer and the Internet, you can make a mountainous task into a relatively simple one. It will be well worth the effort to enjoy "going green" with your skin care products and make-up.
