The Truth About DKNY Perfume
Those who love DKNY Perfume already know that legendary American fashion designer Donna Karan is the creator. She has been able to utilise the co-existing characteristics of New York City to define her fashion brand today. Her roots grow strong in the New York area where she still lives today. However, before her career took of she trained at the Parsons School of Design.
She then began her career under the tutelage of the Anne Klein fashion house. For many years, Anne Klein was a strong, American fashion brand. Donna worked her way up, and became one of the head designers of Anne Klein in less than 10 years. In the mid 1980s, she left Anne Klein to start her own fashion house brand, Donna Karan New York.
Most fashion designers focus on a particular audience when they form a new fashion line. Karan believed she could figure out a way to come up with something that would appeal to all New Yorkers. This way anyone who lived in the area now or have roots in the New York area could celebrate it.
In order to do this she had to come up with merchandise that would attract the sophisticated, glamorous, and wealthy; but also attract the "hip," streetwise, gritty, earthy, and blue collar crowd.
Today you will find the Donna Karan New York division which is designed for the upper class and the DKNY division which is designed for everyone. It was a great strategy in the beginning, especially when she decided to do it for her DKNY Perfume.
This perfume brings out a sophisticated, mature style, with a touch of very American classic. Everything was successful, but Donna Karan never imagined how successful her DKNY Be Delicious perfume line would be. It has become a way for all New Yorkers to celebrate springtime every single year. This style of perfume is so authentic; the bottles are designed to look like shiny apples.
The whole line is a celebration of New York in the springtime for the everyday person. The design of the perfume bottles are even designed to look like shiny round apples, as New York is known as the "Big Apple".
There is also another version of this DKNY Perfume that provides fresh pink and white apple blossoms with a touch of citrus notes. If you want a sensual version you can go with the heady, musky, and oil version for night time seduction.
It was a great approach to Donna Karan's DKNY Perfume line, but the reasonable prices made it that much better. Oh, and if your man needs a new scent she has plenty of cologne for men as well.
