Calvin Klein Euphoria Perfume & Others
Imagine it's sometime in the 1900s, and you're trying to start a business in New York City. Well, that's exactly what Calvin Klein did in 1968, when he started the coat shop he called Calvin Klein Limited. In 1970, he added sportswear and women's lingerie to the shop's line. Seven years later, belts, shoes, scarves, sunglasses and other things were also added to the inventory. And seeing how popular jeans were becoming in the US, Calvin Klein created designer jeans. It's said that people bought 200,000 pairs of Calvin Klein jeans within the first week.
The 1970s did not present a favorable climate for a fragrance business. However, when the market began to recover and the Calvin Klein inventory had enough items to support a test, he began introducing new fragrances. The result was a resounding success. In 1993, Calvin Klein was named "America's Best Designer" in recognition of his quality, consumer-focused products.
Coty, Inc. of New York bought the fragrance licensing agreements in May 2005.
The Calvin Klein perfume and cologne line features several unisex fragrances, including CK Be and CK One. Over the years, Calvin Klein Eternity, Escape and Obsession were introduced as both women's perfume and men's cologne. These fragrances were well-stated and different than other popular scents.
Based on a blend of fruits, spice and amber, Calvin Klein Eternity has become a popular daytime Calvin Klein perfume for women. After the success of Calvin Klein Eternity, Eternity Moment was launched as a follow-up. Calvin Klein Eternity Moment is a lighter, flirtatiously floral blend of water lily, pomegranate and other scents, including a touch of musk.
A new perfume called Calvin Klein Euphoria arrived in 2005. A scent which features an unusual amount of depth, it uses persimmon and pomegranate as its main highlights. In 2007, Euphoria Blossom for women came onto the market. Its fragrance is a blend of apple, black orchid and lotus, and it is a richly floral Calvin Klein perfume. The most recently introduced Calvin Klein perfume, introduced for women in 2010, is called Beauty. Created by Sophie Labbe, Beauty incorporates a delightful blend of fragrances, including jasmine and cedar. Instead of being a seductive, alluring perfume, Beauty is more of a complementary scent.
Calvin Klein - both the man and the company - is a remarkable success story. Despite somewhat rocky times, CK is a trademark that's recognized throughout the world for quality and commitment.
