The Miracle Of Anti Wrinkle Creams: Fact Or Fiction?

You're only as old as you feel. Believe it or not many people start to feel old as soon as they look in the mirror. That's where our aging baby boomer population is peering and searching for some method, any method of hiding the effects of too much sunbathing, too much partying, and too much staying up late over way too much time. Now that they are our aging population, they are also our top scientists, doctors and chemists putting all their knowledge toward solving one of the world's most obvious problems: Wrinkles. The cosmetic industry has worked wonders to help people hide the effects of aging, coming out with a plethora of foundations, toners, and moisturizers, but only now with science placing its best minds behind the issue have wrinkle creams come to attention.

It has to be looked at with some skepticism however. These companies that produce anti wrinkle cream are in it to make a buck. They will try to pass off any sort of new product, from a newly discovered plant in an Amazon to animal fat, to say that their products do work.

Cosmetics are an immense industry. Millions of dollars are invested to formulate, research, and test new wrinkle creams designed to blow the competition out of the water, and these companies need to see a return on their investment. It is just this competitive nature that helps us make sure we get what we need. In the past twenty years the competing companies have forced each other to stick to pure science and try to discover exactly how the aging process works in order to better combat it.

Originally, anti wrinkle creams were just fillers. They would help to smooth out the skin by filling in the wrinkles. This was good in that it worked fast, but over the course of the day the makeup would move on a persons face and by the end the wrinkles would be visible. Today's treatments use a combination of fillers, plumpers and freezers.

Through science, today's "spackle" works a lot better. They combine a filling mixture for the wrinkles with a plumping agent that moisturizes within the pores to add water under the wrinkle and push upwards making a smaller wrinkle to be filled. These can be combined with freezers as well.

The freezers hope to actually freeze the muscles underneath your face. By doing this they lessen the progression of wrinkles, making it much easier to conceal them. This is done in the most problematic of wrinkle areas, from the forehead to the crows feet around the eyes and the wrinkles around the mouth. By producing creams that help to stave off aging, it makes it possible for make ups to be more effective in their task of reducing wrinkles.

As science works to end this War on Age we find improvements rapidly. With luck our wrinkle creams and makeup may soon do enough to replace plastic surgery in many cases. This makes a much safer method to wage the battle.

By utilizing the different combinations of plumping agents, fillers, freezers, and makeups we are able to achieve many different results. These results will work differently for each person. So the best advise is to realize that these wrinkle creams do work, research the options you have in order to find the right cream for your war.
