At Angel Longevity Medical Center in Los Angeles, alternative medical procedures are used to help patients who haven't been helped by mainstream medicine. One patient wrote to the clinic after 3 months of treatment, and her article is included here. To help you better understand her story, here are some definitions of the treatments she writes about:

Liver Cleansing and Metabolic Typing Fat Loss Program: Liver cleansing involves taking some supplements that rid the liver of toxins. Metabolic Typing Fat Loss Program determines what type of metabolism your body has and includes a diet that will give your body the foods it can easily process into energy.

Bio-identical Hormones are prescribed hormones that are identical to the ones the body produces. Hormone Replacement Program involves lab tests to find out what hormones the body needs and a prescription to replace those hormones.

Chelation Therapy: This is a process to get rid of heavy metals in the body. A binding agent is administered, binds to the heavy metals, and those metals and the binding agent are eliminated from the body.

UBI: These initials stand for Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation. The therapy involves removing some blood from the patient, irradiating it with ultraviolet light (as in sunlight) and replacing it in the body. Sufficient sunlight is necessary for good health.

One woman and her husband of 30 years had three boys, now all grown men. She was a tax manager for a big accounting firm. She also cared for her elderly parents. She noticed after menopause that her memory was slipping, she felt tired often, and she had trouble sleeping and gained a lot of weight. She is 54 years old.

Her husband, a successful physician, did not have any answers for her, nor even for himself.
