Memory Loss in the Brain
We are all susceptible to memory loss as we grow older. Even if you are as old as twenty-five, your grandmother may be able to remember things more accurately than you do. However, this is not a normal situation. Normally, we start losing our ability to remember as we age. But forgetting random things ever so often is not something that should be taken lightly.
Many doctors have concluded that the best way to keep our brains healthy is to exercise them. You can do physical activities to increase blood flow to the brain or actually do activities that require your brain to calculate and comprehend.
Short-term memory loss affects many people around us. These individuals are unable to keep the immediate chain of activities in their mind. Therefore, if he has just finished the last French fry, then he might be wondering where the last bits of fries went, a minute later.
There has been a lot of research on memory loss but no one has the answers to it. Alzheimer's and Dementia happen even after regular use of the brain. This suggests that memory loss doesn't happen all at once. It means that the memory loss is a gradual process in the brain. The brain becomes less capable of remembering.
Memory loss has been associated with poor communication to the brain cells. Your memory can worsen with age but you can treat this as you get older. Do not let your poor ability to remember interfere with your life.
Memory loss brain can also happen if you overload your brain with a lot of information at the same time. Use assistance like notebooks, to-do lists, and calendars to note down details of the day so that you do not have to remember them all by yourself. Do not multi task all the time as the information you are trying to insert in to your brain does not even reach where it is supposed to in order for you to remember.
To help your brain digest information use a paper and pencil. These simply devices go a long way in sorting out what information your brain needs to retain.
If you exercise regularly it will help stop memory loss from increased blood circulation. Blood carries oxygen to the brain and it vital in brain processing. Also try to eat healthy foods good for your brain like blueberries, spinach, and broccoli.
